Always looking to keep up to date on what's happening in the world of trees. Here's what I read the other day at emeraldashborer.info:

"Emerald Ash Borer Update : Scientists from Michigan State University and Michigan Technological University wanted to do something besides watch ash trees die, so they are collaborating with Michigan's Department of Agriculture, Department of Natural Resources, the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and USDA Forest Service to develop the SLow Ash Mortality (SLAM) project in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Read about their efforts here."

I hope this program turns into something that can help slow the death of Ash trees, both here in Michigan and throughout the continent. In the meantime, you can find great trees for replacing your ash in our Shade Tree Archive
